We specifically designed Humana HN formula to support the dietary management of recurrent or prolonged diarrhoea.

  • Stool normalizing: 

    The high content of carbohydrates binds water in the intestine. High casein content of the protein slows intestinal movements. This supports normalization of the stool and absorption of nutrients in the intestine. 

  • With banana: 

    High proportions of fibre including banana flakes and galacto-oligosaccharides, encourage the regeneration of the stool consistency. Additionally, the pleasant taste eases to achieve adequate milk intake.

  • Easily digestible: 

    Diarrhea often makes it difficult to digest fat. That's why fat content of Humana HN is reducedand is balenced by more carbohydrates and protein to provide sufficient energy. Diarrhea is also often accompanied with short-time decreased lactase activity and the consequence of lactose malabsorption. The lactose content in Humana HN is reduced in adaptation to the affected gut and balances the lactose absorption.

The right preparation is key

When preparing the milk, please follow the instructions. Clean bottle, teat and ring thoroughly, prepare freshly before each meal, feed immediately, and do not reuse any leftovers. Improper preparation and storage may be harmful to child’s health.

Boil water, let it cool to 50°C and pour half of it into a clean bottle.

Use included measuring spoon and back of a knife or similar to add required amount of powder into bottle.

Close bottle and shake immediately, then add remaining water and shake again.

Fasten teat tightly and check content for drinking temperature (37°C). Don’t heat up in the microwave (risk of scalding).

    Breastfeeding is beyond a doubt the best way to nourish your baby. Talk to your paediatrician or your midwife if you want to use baby formula. Do not use in case of cow’s milk protein allergy, lactose intolerance and disorders of glucose and galactose metabolism. Humana HN is suitable as the sole source of nutrition for babies from birth onwards and as a dietary complement after 6 months. Always consult a physician when your baby suffers from diarrhoea and when diarrheal symptoms do not resolve. For enteral use only. Humana HN should only be used under medical supervision.
