From the 25th week of pregnancy, your baby is growing by about 85 grams per week. Fat reserves are starting to fill up, and the previously wrinkled skin is slowly tightening.
Your baby's sense of balance is now developing, so they are constantly exercising: turning, sitting, playing with their hands and feet, sucking their thumb. There is always something happening.
Your baby can now perceive sound intensity. If the noise is too loud, they react with intense movements and an accelerated heartbeat.
Your baby is growing, and so is your belly—at 25 weeks of pregnancy, your uterus is about the size of a soccer ball. Your body's center of gravity shifts due to your growing belly, and expectant mothers automatically adopt a hunched posture. To withstand this posture without injury, nature has made women's spines and lumbar regions much more flexible and resilient than men's.
At 25 weeks of pregnancy, your baby has already grown considerably. However, it must continue to grow in your belly and not be born prematurely, despite advances in science and medicine. You may already be experiencing Braxton Hicks contractions. This means that your belly may harden 10 to 15 times in 24 hours. However, if this happens more often, if the contractions occur regularly at shorter and shorter intervals, please see your doctor immediately, as there is a risk of premature birth.
Stress and stressful situations can also cause premature labor. So try to incorporate beautiful, relaxing moments into your daily routine as often as possible.
It should be noted that premature birth is officially defined as a baby born before the end of the 37th week of pregnancy or weighing less than 2,500 grams at birth.
