The countdown has begun

How is your baby growing?

Now the time has come. The long-awaited week of childbirth has arrived. Your baby now has to bend its arms and legs completely to still fit in your belly.
With a circumference of about 35 centimeters, your baby's head is the largest part of its body. To allow the head to pass easily through the birth canal, the individual bones of the skull are not yet fused. The so-called fontanelles, the flexible connections between the bones of the skull, close by the end of your child's second year of life.

How is your belly growing?

You think your belly can't get any bigger. You have a beautiful round belly. If your skin feels itchy, use bath oil instead of soap to avoid drying it out even more.

Your breasts are now ready for breastfeeding and can already produce colostrum, the slightly orange-colored milk.

What makes you grow as a family?

Are you looking forward to the birth and want to 'induce' it a little? Walking, nipple stimulation, and sexual intercourse are gentle ways to speed up the onset of contractions.

The important thing is to try to relax. This will save your energy for childbirth.

You should also have your hospital bag ready and your partner on standby. They should always have their cell phone with them so they can be with you in time when the process begins.
